Espurnes

Based in Brussels, Alba Suau approaches painting as a living event rather than a fixed image. Her practice begins with aimless, meditative walks through the landscape, where she becomes attuned to subtle textures, colors, and rhythms. These impressions are later transformed in the studio into layered compositions in which observation and memory intertwine. Working with oil and acrylic on canvas, her work explores the delicate boundary between the remembered and the real.

Alba Suau studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona and INSEAMM Marseille, and completed her MFA in Painting at La Cambre in Brussels. Her work has been presented in solo exhibitions in Madrid, Brussels, and Mallorca, and she has received several awards, including the Prix Laurent Moonens (2023).
